Fullmetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist was one of the first newer series I decided to watch when I was still a younger collector.  I was drawn in by the story, and loved both the Manga and the Anime.  That being said the Original Anime, FMA ran from October 4, 2003 till October 2, 2004, this was while the Manga was still in progress.  So there is a heavy divergance from the Manga and it becomes it's own thing, almost like the ultimate canon fanfiction.  It has an almost Western feel to it, the settings, the characters, and even the choice to bring the Conqueror of Shamballa into the real world (as it were), as the important characters from the East aren't really introduced till later in the Manga, which makes the FMA (Manga and Brotherhood) have more of a worldwide feel.
Most of what I have picked up so far has been from the original series and the Conqueror of Shamballa Movie, which wraps up the original series quite nicely.  In fact I'm sure alot of people would argue with me, however, I liked the ending...  *ducks, hides*  And from what I have noticed of collecting from the new CG series is in the beginning art will trickle out slowly, and then will never really fully hit the market until many, many years later.  There has been alot floating around lately from the Shamballa Movie and the original series.  I know my direction will be focused mostly on Ed and Roy, but it might diverge a smidge out from there.  I haven't fully decided yet, but you never know.  I have been known to change my direction before ^_^
